We have decided to stay in a place called Tucepi tonight. It is about halfway between Split and Dubrovnik, making a great base for the morning, we get back to the Tamaris Aparthotel in Tucepi after dark, the receptionist is a welcome smile, and tells us we have a sea view including a breakfast! Incredible! The room was only £37 and I had £20 worth of Expedia points to use, so it felt pretty cheeky having a room for £17. The bed was massive, soft and an absolute Godsend. It was spacious, natural and neutral fresh colours, and even had coffee and tea facilities and a fridge. We had picked up some red wine in Bosnia and it was totally undrinkable. Tasted like blood and vinegar. So we just hit the pillow and chilled out. We both decided there and then to book a 2nd night so we could stop off tomorrow on the way back down the coast from Split too. Made sense! Spoke to receptionist and she said to book with Expedia as cheaper! Ok then, odd but ok. We would have rather given them all the cash directly rather than feed a global giant. So knowing we were going to be in this little haven for 2 more nights just felt incredible. The winds howled around our 6th floor apartment that night, but we slept like logs.
