In the morning, we woke fairly refreshed, and delighted by a fresher and more appealing breakfast, including fresh pastries and strudel (since when did breakfast pudding become a thing?). Today we are heading to Split, an old Croatian town about 5hr north of Dubrovnik, but being strategically placed in the middle, shortened the drive to 2.5hr. When we got into Split, it felt chaotic and Leon wanted to stop in Lidl for a 5min break. Big mistake. It was even more carnage. A small underground looping car park with no going back! I honestly thought he was going to cry. Bless him. We eventually found a paid for parking spot that wasn’t too tricky a manoeuvre and got out for a long awaited stroll into Split.
