On our final full day, we choose to have a relaxing one and not go too far. After last night, neither of us are ready to go back to the hotel restaurant, we both woke up still cross about the situation. We head out along the coast to find some breakfast. Everywhere is shut! It’s end of season & I think that as it’s a Saturday, maybe lots of places close before the weekend. The cafes that were open, didn’t serve food. So we went into the shopping centre equivalent to Boots or Superdrug and grabbed a few protein bars and a coffee from the cafe. We then take an amble back and see a man with a dog carrying its own poo bags!!
We settled on the veranda with a cup of coffee and Steve, the chap from the couple we met came and joined us. We ended up chatting for about 4hr, and his partner came and joined us after the first hour too, as she had been to the shops. They are really interesting, and like minded people, who have lots of life experience and great tales to tell. About 5pm, I head up for a shower and to be half presentable for dinner. We are going to brave the restaurant again! I can’t remembered if I mentioned I dyed my hair a slightly darker blonde and I’m really enjoying not looking like Jimmy Saville’s love child. Doesn’t show the roots, so must be fairly similar to my natural colour, which hasn’t been seen for 20 years!
