20th Oct 2021- Hunter’s full moon- a mixed day!

We wake in Lindos, I feel very rested due to the larger bed and softer mattress of Chrysa apartment. Lindos looks spectacular in shades of white, peach and lilac, as the softer side of the sun grazes it’s beams on the maze of a town. And the acropolis of course. Towering over in all its majesty, unchanged, and unwavering.

Leon popped out to grab some coffees (after an unsuccessful redneck coffee with som old beans and a filter paper- yuck!) and something to eat, & after getting a bit lost, he returned with a delicious dark chocolate and banana crepe intact. After slowly getting ready, we traverse down the steep slopes into Lindos centre again, to repeatedly get lost and end up in the same places. We finally emerge, walk across near St Paul’s Bay, back to the free carpark where we left the car.

Seeing St Paul’s Bay, we have both reflected so much, of where we’ve come from, what we’ve got up to, where everyone that came to the wedding is now… it almost feels like the closing of a loop or a chapter. Completing a cycle. To be exactly back where you were at a monumental occasion. Very healing and beautiful experience.

We head back to Lardos beach and find a suitable trusty tree for me to hover under. Along with today’s full moon, brings a heavy period, so as the film Jaws has scarred me, I do not go in the waters today. We had a joke 4 days ago, that when it started, I would be like a red arrows display, with my red hair dye leaking one end and Mother Nature at the other! A funny little image. We reminisce some more and enjoy a bag of BBQ ruffles, which have been a staple every frickin day hahaha, we are not creatures of habit at all!

Leon enjoys more sea swims and drying in the sun with a breeze, and I’m reading more of my book.

After which we had showers, got ready and went to our usual Taverna. We had a gorgeous meal… Spoilt only slightly by a very loud and irritating young British lady, who had absolutely no decorum, and would not shut up. I can only feel sorry for her partner who has to deal with this volume and pace on most days.
