The hotel fountain at Wylie inn in Beverley
We had a smooth journey to the car rental. It was dark by the time we got into the car (7.30pm). Leon handled it like a champ, but we hadn’t eaten since that slice of pizza in Iceland, and had been travelling for about 10hr. Tired and hungry, we decided to get to the hotel, as my phone battery died, and Leon’s wasn’t far behind. A 45 min journey of fairly busy city driving, left us both pretty exhausted.
Once we got to the hotel at 8.15, the foyer service man told us we were unlikely to find any kitchen open. So we settled for a small bag of Doritos and a kitkat, had a quick body shower and hopped into bed, to get up early to beat the tourist rush in Salem tomorrow.
Good night!
