A morning walk round the lake

We woke up about 7am and decided to go for a walk with our morning coffee and see if we could see the sunrise which was due at 7:35. The sky was a magical colour of blue similar to how Norway was during its blue hours in the winter. The lake looked like a gently rippling glass, with mountains towering over the side, serenaded by crows and blackbirds singing their morning songs.

We didn’t actually see the sun directly rise because it was behind other mountains, but what we did see was even more glorious. Gradually the tips of the mountains opposite the sunrise were lit up in a pale neon peach glow, gradually melting down the peaks, signifying the sun was rising higher on the other side. It was absolutely majestic… definitely worth getting out there early for!
