Well, going from the peaceful, spacious and beautiful island of Sri Lanka to the glistening concrete jungle of hyper-consumerist Kuala Lumpur couldn’t really offer more of a culture shock
I really enjoyed the wildlife, the sounds and the people of Sri Lanka. I found it super relaxing and could have spent more time there (especially if it was sunny). In contrast Kuala Lumpur is very much like London, albeit a lot cheaper. It’s good to have these cultural differences, I feel that it gives you a basis for opinion of where you feel more comfortable and also it’ll make our next journey to Vietnam all the more serene.
So maybe tomorrow we’ll go and look at these skyscrapers , maybe Batu caves … fingers crossed our stomachs would have settled … food choices here seem very westernized so that may help.
Oh and there’s a mono-rail directly outside our window … it’s kinda cool
I don’t like to sound to grumpy, I think my stomach issue may be making things less enjoyable but that will pass … hope we have lots of cool experiences while we’re here!
Leon likes calm + peace + lack of consumerism
