Sand balls & crabs

We have a delicious lunch, and then take a stroll from along unspoilt empty beach and mangrove. The sand has millions of little sand balls, created by tiny camouflages crabs, who dig themselves a hole by putting the sand in their mouths and moving it out of the pit they are making. They have to repeat this every day, as the tide washes the sand back into the holes again! What a seemingly pointless existence! Would be my idea of a nightmare.
