So we decided to wait to last min to book a holiday, due to the way rules and places you have to quarantine for changes. We’ve picked Sun-Thurs to avoid the usual change over day. There was a choice of Cyprus or a Greek Island, and Cyprus required a negative Covid test, which we don’t have time for, so Greece it is! Had flights that were suitable times and dates to Kos or Kefalonia, and we picked the latter.
I was super anxious this morning and somewhat flappy, worried of the way people would be acting. We are now sat on the plane 40min ahead of take off, and was so dead in the airport. It was like being a celebrity, having places closed down for you! We went straight into the hand luggage and body scanning area, got through in 5min, and zoomed through the gates. I was surprised they don’t ask you to take off masks to check passport photos (uk end)! We had to fill in a form pre flight to get a QR code, that a woman at the gate glanced at, but didn’t scan, so who knows! Maybe the Greek end they will need it. (*They did)
We have to keep the mask on the whole flight, FR6611 Stansted to Kefalonia, Ryanair, and it’s 3.5hr so could be a bit annoying. I have a silk scarf I can use though,l as a ‘covering’ if I get too irritated.
Can’t wait to get there, it will be about 8pm there and dark, so we will be making our ways to hotel and chilling tonight.
A toddler just started fake wailing, so Leon’s put his ear phones in, I’m guessing his mesophonia is kicking off!
