So, with our first long haul since 2018 ahead, the normal pre-traveling nerves have kicked in.
We packed last night, and I checked my holiday list…twice of course. Here it is, for anyone who wants to nick this idea to settle pre-leaving the house nerves:
Fiction
Earrings (on)
Ear phones (satellite bag)
Compression socks (on)
Contacts, juice, specs
Pants, socks, bras
Charger lead/ adapter
Inhalers (sat. Bag)
Retainers
Bum/ face wipes, vitamins, hairbrush
Sanitary
toothbrush
Sunshades rx and non
Passport/ ID/ revolut card
Dress, tshirt, yoga trousers etc.
Scarf
Tweezers
Swimsuit/ trunks
razor, conditioner
I also check all the plugs, windows, doors, Figaro! I normally check the fridge too, but forgot today. I think we had very little in it anyhow.
It’s the first time in as long as I can remember that we are traveling through rush hour traffic too (Stansted). Sat nav showing 2 hours at the moment, and hopefully doesn’t creep up. We are avoiding M1 in case of crashes that hold us up with no alternative to get off.
Eek!! Exciting, but a long day ahead. All well and good, 12hr time, we will be very near landing and getting our hire car, and taking the forewarned hideous drive out of Boston! That should be fun-ish..
