After stopping to marvel at the wonders of the Niagara Falls, strangely enough on our own, we need to find some food, so turn right upon our self proclaimed ‘street of fun’. It brings us back to have a little giggle at a memory of Sentosa in Singapore, and how not fun the state of fun was! We wonder if this street will live up to its name!
It is quite a state incline and an assault upon every sense, with neon flashing lights, and loud funfair music blaring from every manic establishment! There is a haunted house, a laser maze, and an icecream shop called ‘sweet jesus’, which funnily enough is a phrase that comes to mind as we trudge up the hill. A souped up hummer comes booming down the hill, sub bass on full, rocking the whole road, literally.
We find a place called Ruby Tuesdays, but it is about to shut. So we go to the American institution of Wendy’s! To experience what that is like. I choose a spicy chicken burger to try to blast out some of the cold I have.

The hummer parades itself back along the stretch, and I wonder who on earth is in it?!!
We have a look around one of the humongous games arcade, and can’t believe how huge it is in every sense of the word.
It’s about 10 pm now and we decided to head back to the apartment. We pass a wax museum that has some debatable representation of Taylor Swift and Heath Ledger visible from the path, perhaps to try to attract you in??
It seems an entire cruise ships full of people has descended upon the street, and we are walking against the tide of them, so take a moment to stop and let them pass.
We take a final look at the falls, now lit up red, before our walk back to the apartment.

We get back to the apartment and I need to get a couple of bottles out of the car, so I shine a torch for Leon and he grabs the bottles out. I can hear a disturbance in the bushes on the fence. I immediately imagined a bear. I’m trying to tell myself of course it’s not.
I shine my torch there, and see two glistening eyes pop up from behind the fence, far too close together to be a bear, thank goodness. He lummoxes himself over the fence, flopping onto the bins, proceeding to gnaw and tear apart the top. His fat little raccoon face reminds me so much of Figaro. Very sweet looking animal.

Finally, we get into bed! The lighting of the vintage lamps look really soothing, and I hope my snoring doesn’t wake Leon too much. I always snore when I have an illness.
