A last minute realisation of heart means we are at Luton airport on our way to Milan! Staying Milan tonight (land 5pm UK time), and then train to Lake Como tomorrow to stay 3nt, and going to women’s moguls for the Winter Olympics on Saturday (Valentine’s day) (9.30am UK time if anyone can watch live).
I have booked it back in July, but then spooked myself about the crowds/ cold/ mayhem/ leaving Figaro. So we had the tickets to the event and flight still, as couldn’t cancel, but accommodation, trains, and parking sorted last night/ this morning, after I found myself REALLY sad at the thought of missing it. I guess you don’t know what you want sometimes until the chance is nearly gone!
